Google Apps
Parents: Starting March 2025, users under 18 will not be able to access additional Google services that don’t have parental consent confirmed. All of the Google apps (applications) used in the Buckeye Local School District will be used for educational purposes. Below is the list of Google apps your child has access to. Google Applied Digital Skills
Google Applied Digital Skills is a free, video-based curriculum that helps students develop digital literacy skills. The program is designed for in-school use, but students can also work on it independently.
Google CS First
Google CS First is a free, online computer science curriculum for students in grades 4–8 (ages 9–14). It's designed to make coding easy to teach and fun to learn.
Google Arts & Culture
Google Arts & Culture is a free online platform that provides access to images, videos, and other cultural artifacts from around the world. The platform's mission is to preserve and make art and culture accessible to everyone.
Google Books
Google Books is a digital library that allows users to search, read, and download books and magazines. It's a collection of full-text books and magazines that have been digitized by Google.
Google Earth
Google Earth is a free program that allows users to explore the Earth in 3D using satellite and aerial imagery. It's available as a web app, a mobile app, and a desktop program.
Google My Maps
Google My Maps is a free web-based tool that lets you create custom maps. You can use it for personal or professional purposes, such as: Planning a trip, Organizing a project, and Showcasing points of interest.
Google News
Google News is a news aggregator that provides access to news stories from a variety of sources. It's available on mobile apps and in browsers.
Google Translate
Google Translate is a web-based free-to-use translation service developed by Google in April 2006. It translates multiple forms of texts and media such as words, phrases and webpages. Originally, Google Translate was released as a statistical machine translation (SMT) service.
Google Search & Assistant
Google Search is a search engine that finds text in web pages, while Google Assistant is a voice-activated assistant that can perform tasks on devices.
YouTube
YouTube is a video sharing platform owned by Google that allows users to watch, upload, and share videos. Buckeye Local School District has certain restrictions in place.
